The American Birkebeiner International Bridge is an iconic component of the North America’s largest cross-country ski race held each February in Hayward, WI. Normally, the American Birkebeiner International Bridge is used by Birkie skiers to safely ski over U.S. Highway 63 to the snow-covered Main Street of Hayward, WI, and to the race’s finish line.
The Birkie Bridge traveled to downtown Minneapolis, MN Nicollet Mall to be a highligh as a destination of fun and pre-game LIVE festivities for Super Bowl LII (52). It was a hit with skiers, tubers and famous alike; Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Nancy Kerrigan just to name a few.
What an awesome job by the Birkie and our local Trussworks company that worked their magic to bring a piece of Hayward, WI to downtown Minneapolis, MN. Making history and gaining attention for the Hayward Area in Northern Wisconsin.
Birkie Bridge is now back home safe and sound and is getting ready to be put in place for the American Birkebiner race in two weeks!
